Jingle Bells

I was told today by a Japanese teacher that I sing “Jingle Bells” incorrectly. She wanted me to teach “…bashing through the snow…” I taught it that way. I decided the hilarity of hearing kids sing that outweighed my offense of being corrected.

Tonight I’m going to attempt to bake some pumpkin pies to share at work for Thanksgiving tomorrow. Maybe they will see it as a gesture of reaching out and trying to share my culture. I just wish it wouldn’t take this much effort…oh how I miss Mrs. Smith’s pies.
